Light Filtering Cellular Shades:

  • Light filtering cellular shades are designed to gently diffuse natural light while still providing privacy.

  • These shades allow soft, filtered light to enter the room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

  • They are ideal for spaces where you want to maintain natural light while reducing glare and UV rays, such as living rooms, dining areas, and kitchens.

  • Light filtering cellular shades offer some level of privacy during the day, but they do not provide complete privacy at night when lights are on inside the room.

  • They are available in a variety of colors and opacity levels to suit different preferences and light control needs.

    Room Darkening Cellular Shades:

  • Room darkening cellular shades are designed to block out a significant amount of light, providing enhanced privacy and darkness in the room.

  • These shades are ideal for bedrooms, home theaters, or any space where you need to reduce incoming light for better sleep or glare reduction.

  • Room darkening cellular shades typically feature thicker, more opaque fabrics or additional light-blocking materials to minimize light penetration.

  • While they are not completely blackout, room darkening cellular shades significantly darken the room, making them suitable for daytime naps or light-sensitive sleepers.

  • They offer better privacy, especially at night when lights are on inside the room, compared to light filtering shades.

  • Room darkening cellular shades are available in a range of colors and styles, allowing you to customize them to match your decor preferences.

NOTE: Inside mount shades (particularly BLACKOUT shades) will have a visible light gap around all edges of the window.
